![]() ![]() Did you speak with said guy on the issue with the high Sulphur code? As I said mine came ready for deletes so this specific issue is foreign to me, though I've come to be pretty familiar with h&s in general. And I bought mine on ebay with delete tuner part of the keywords used to locate it, so perhaps you can even ask the guy you purchased from and mayb he'll even swap out or point you in the right direction. If not then like you said all you need is the monitor, you could resale yours online after getting the monitor flashed so it's not tied to your vin. Of course man, just passing the knowledge down as it has been passed to me, if the guy does his own tuning he would be a good one to ask if the mcc unlock code would help your current situation. ![]() Imo h&s is a good setup for an almost stock truck, the word is efi is a crisp tune, but with the price of the tuning then to add a monitor and enable switch on the fly you're prob 2000 in the whole, where the mini maxx with od unlock and all the delete equipment you might be 1000 in. I like the h&s because of the overdrive tuning and I like the box tunes, and the monitor, and the switch on the fly, all stuff that can be had with other tuning but tends to be more expensive by the time all of that is taken care of. I think if you unlock mcc tuning on your mini maxx it will allow you to get tunes from other tuners and download them into the mini maxx, but since your tuner isn't delete supported I'm not sure if that'll work. So theoretically, if you were to clear the codes every couple days, you're essentially doing what their delete tuners do by blocking the codes every time you clear your dtc's, but honestly man I'm not 100% on that, just an idea at this point. From what I've learned about them, h&s' tuners work by blocking codes from the ecm essentially, which I've experienced being an issue because when my transmission went out earlier this year, I wasn't getting any codes for the transmission due to that design. Even though they'll pop back up, perhaps clearing them will reset the ecm and give you more time before your engine tries to derate itself. If I'm understanding correctly, because your tuner doesn't allow for delete tuning so the codes will not go away, one thing I suppose you could do until you bought a delete tuner would be to clear the dtc codes every couple of days. That part I'm not sure of though and won't be able to check mine till about 5 pm pacific time.Ġ8 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 6.7 Cummins 68RFE Mega Cab SLT - DPF & EGR Delete H&S Mini Maxx w/ Trans Unlock running Performance Tune - Nixon Transmission Entry Level 550 hp Dual Disc Low Stall Converter Billet Valve Body High Pressure Pump - 295/70/R17 MT's on stock alloys 314,500 I guess when you check the menu and go to your settings, wherever you can view the model number and such for your tuner, if there's an "N/A" somewhere on that screen, then you have a race tuner. ![]() One that I found spoke of the code you were referencing, but then a guy popped up with the "street" tuner deal and said that some of them weren't able to unlock that code. Something about there's a difference between a "street" vs "race" tuner. I was just doing some research, and even though I was under the impression the h&s tuners were specifically for deletes, it seems there are some "street" tuners out there that aren't enabled for high Sulphur use. ![]()
